Can you stand another spring-themed post? Well, in my defense, it is spring! And I love spring, love the newness and the regrowth of things that seemed hopeless just a few months ago 🙂

Love the Sunshine! - Spring 2012
In early spring the new, green leaves stretch toward the sun, fluttering their appreciation of that wonderful gift of warmth and energy. How do you show your appreciation of the sun?
These dew-covered flowers remind me of cold glasses of Grape Kool Aid, covered with condensation. I can almost smell the tangy, fake-grape scent, taste the sweet-sour flavor, and feel those cold droplets of condensation on the glasses.
What do these flowers make you think of?
An early morning walk through our woods took me past this familiar old collection of junk. But today it caught my eye. The interior of the cab is glowing and the windshield appears fogged up.

This afternoon flashback shows some of my favorite flowers, the cheerily nodding black-eyed Susans.
I really like the sunlight glowing through the base of this flower. Bridger prefers the view that includes the top and inside of the flower.

Hmm. A friend said I like contrasts like this. I think he may be right. I love the contrast of the shiny leaves, newly opened to the world, climbing up the weathered, rusty post which has been standing its ground since some farmer planted it there so many years ago. It also makes me smile to think about how it appears that the post is sprouting new leaves for the spring!
