The very newest are so often perfect. The rest of the world has not yet had time to impact their perfection. Yet, in its own way, the twisted, gnarled Old is also perfect. It has met the world and is still standing.

The glowing, yellow-green of spring leaves – Chartreuse – The color makes me feel a glow inside. I made this shot my monitor’s desktop wallpaper so I can look at it daily.

What would you do, were you a small, red bug? Fly off into the wild green yonder? Travel around the edge of the leaf? Cross over to the other side of the leaf?

They sure cling tightly! - Winter 2012
This photo was taken Sunday, a calm, sunny, warm day. Monday the winds howled in, bringing cooler temperatures – and maybe stripping off some of these late oak leaves. I shall have to go back out and see.
